Gift Card Policy

This policy outlines the terms and conditions governing the purchase and use of Mole Valley Farmers Gift Cards and eGiftcards. By purchasing or using a Mole Valley Farmers Gift Card, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Introduction to Mole Valley Farmers Gift Cards

Mole Valley Farmers Gift Cards and eGiftcards are a convenient way to treat friends, family, or colleagues, allowing them to choose from our wide range of products in-store or online. These terms and conditions are designed to protect both Mole Valley Farmers and our valued customers.

2. Gift Card Issuance and Management

Mole Valley Farmers Gift Cards are issued by and remain the property of Mole Valley Farmers Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Mole Valley Farmers directly manage all aspects of Gift Card sales, processing, and fulfilment. 

3. Purchasing Gift Cards

1. Availability: Gift Cards can be purchased in-store at any Mole Valley Farmers or Mole Country Stores location, or online at moleonline.com.
2. Values: Gift Cards can be loaded with any value between a minimum of £1 (one pounds sterling) and a maximum of £500 (five hundred pounds sterling). 
   Payment: Full payment is required at the time of purchase. Online purchases will be processed securely by Mole Valley Farmers. For fraud prevention, we reserve the right to decline any order without explanation, and we are unable to accept business cheques or bookings to account for Gift Card purchases.
3. eGiftcards: (for online purchases)
   1. eGiftcards can be purchased online only at moleonline.com.
   2. eGiftcards will be electronically emailed by Mole Valley Farmers to the recipient's email address within 24 hours (avg. 2 hours) from the placement of an order.
   3. An additional gift message can be added at no extra charge during the purchase process.
4. Physical Gift Cards: (for In-Store purchases)  
   1. Physical gift cards can be purchased in-store only at Mole Valley Farmers or Mole Country store.
   2. A balance paper receipt is issued at the time of purchase.

4. Using Your Gift Card

1. Redemption: Once activated, the value on a Mole Valley Farmers Gift Card can be used as full or part payment for products purchased both in-store at any Mole Valley Farmers or Mole Country Stores location and online at moleonline.com.  
2. Partial Payments: Purchases will be deducted from the Gift Card balance until the balance reaches zero. Any remaining balance can be used for future purchases.
3. Non-Exchangeable: Gift Cards cannot be exchanged for cash or credited to an account, either in full or in part.
4. Non-Refundable: Gift Cards are non-refundable. Once purchased, the value cannot be returned for cash or credit. Gift Cards cannot be used as an additional payment towards outstanding balances on any Mole Valley Farmers Credit account. This does not affect your statutory rights in the event of faulty goods purchased with the Gift Card.
5. Balance Enquiries: You can check the balance of your Gift Card in-store at any Mole Valley Farmers or Mole Country Stores till point, or online visiting your account at moleonline.com/customer/account/
6. Top-Ups: At this time, Mole Valley Farmers Gift Cards can only be topped up with additional funds in store. Gift Cards or eGiftcards cannot be topped up online at moleonline.com. 

5. Gift Card Security and Loss

1. Treat Like Cash: Treat your Mole Valley Farmers Gift Card like cash. Mole Valley Farmers will not replace, refund, or reimburse the value of Gift Cards that are lost, stolen, or damaged.
2. Risk and Title: Risk of loss and title for Gift Cards pass to the purchaser upon delivery.
3. Unauthorised Use: Personal information about Gift Card holders is not retained. Therefore, if a Gift Card is used without the consent of the holder, Mole Valley Farmers cannot replace, refund, or reimburse the value on the Gift Card. 

6. Expiry and Dormancy

1. Expiry of Cards with Balance: A balanced-on Gift Cards or eGiftCards will expire after 24 months of consecutive non-use and any remaining balance will be deleted. A top-up, purchase or balance enquiry is considered a use of the Card.
2. Card Dormancy: A Gift Card or eGiftCard will expire if it has a zero balance on the card for a period of 24 months. 

7. Returns and Refunds for Purchases Made with Gift Cards

1. Refunds to Gift Cards (inc. eGiftcards): If you purchase an item using a Mole Valley Farmers Gift Card and later return it in accordance with Mole Valley Farmers' standard returns policy, the refund will be processed back onto the original Gift Card. If the original Gift Card is no longer available (e.g. lost or damaged), a new physical Gift Card will be issued with the refunded value. 
2. Where a Gift Card has been issued as part of an offer, the value of the Gift Card will be deducted from the refund value if spent.
3. eGiftcard Refunds: If an eGiftcard was used for the purchase that is being refunded, the refund will be issued back onto a physical Gift Card.

8. Discrepancies and Issues

1. Checking Your Order: Please check the quantity and value of Gift Cards immediately upon receipt. Any discrepancies must be notified to Mole Valley Farmers Customer Services within 3 days of your purchase date. We cannot be held responsible for shortages or losses not reported within this timeframe.
2. Contacting Customer Services: For any queries, issues, or to report discrepancies regarding your Gift Card, please contact Mole Valley Farmers Customer Services on 01769 576415 or via email at customer.services@molevalleyfarmers.com.

9. Misuse of Gift Card Scheme

Mole Valley Farmers reserves the right to take any action it considers appropriate if it has reasonable grounds for believing you are misusing the Gift Card scheme. This may include, but is not limited to, withholding all or part of the value credited on the Gift Card.

10. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

Mole Valley Farmers reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions for legal, security, or regulatory reasons, or to suspend or discontinue the Gift Card scheme at any time.

• Discontinuation: If the Gift Card scheme is discontinued, Mole Valley Farmers will provide reasonable notice to Gift Card holders through our stores and on moleonline.com, and will allow a reasonable period for any remaining balance on Gift Cards to be used.
• Notification: Any changes to these terms and conditions will be published on moleonline.com. Your continued use of a Gift Card after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. 

11. General

1. Statutory Rights: These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
2. Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.
3. Other Terms: Mole Valley Farmers' standard Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to all purchases made with Gift Cards, except as otherwise stated in this policy. Please refer to moleonline.com/knowledge-base/terms-and-conditions/  for full details.
4. Promotional Offers: Gift Cards cannot be purchased in conjunction with any applicable discount codes, or other promotional offers unless explicitly stated otherwise.  
5. Farmer Shareholder Discounts: Gift cards cannot be used in conjunction with Farmer Shareholder discounts.
