It’s the most economical way to enclose your animals and keep pests and predators out. Electric fencing is harmless, easy to install and is likely to last much longer than ordinary fencing. With less strain being put on the fence itself due to the animals avoiding it after experiencing their first shock, the life expectancy of the fence is preserved.
STEP 1: WHAT ANIMAL?
This defines how many lines are required and at what spacings.
STEP 2: WHICH FENCE LINE?
Tape, rope or wire? The main differences are the level of visibility each offers and what is required for animal type.
STEP 3: WHICH FENCE LINE IS SUITABLE FOR YOUR LENGTH OF FENCE?
Greater metal content and/or inclusion of mixed metal combining strength and high conductivity makes the pulse travel further.
STEP 4: WHICH ENERGISER?
Higher joules power longer fences. More powerful energisers require larger power sources.
Note: Distance figures are intended as a guide. Energiser performance is influenced by fence and ground conditions.
