What is a Seresto flea and tick control collar?

Seresto is an innovative collar that is clinically proven to provide 7-8 months flea and tick protection for your dog or cat. With Seresto, one collar is all it takes to give you peace of mind for 7-8 months. 

How does Seresto work?   

The active ingredients in Seresto are released in low concentrations from within the collar and, thanks to your pet's skin and coat, spread from head to tail. As the active ingredients wear off over time, a new supply is continuously replenished in low concentrations for 7-8 months. 

My pet doesn’t usually wear a collar as I’m worried it will catch when they are outdoors, can they still wear a Seresto?

Yes, Seresto actually features a specially designed ratchet release mechanism that enables the collar to widen should the pet become snagged. The cat and small dog collars also feature a breaking point that allows the collar to snap should enough force be applied.  

Can my pet wear a Seresto collar alongside their normal collar? 

Absolutely. Seresto can be worn alongside your pet’s usual collar without compromising its efficacy, provided the Seresto collar is still in contact with the animal’s coat.

Is Seresto waterproof?

Seresto is water-resistant, it can withstand your pet being bathed, shampooed and getting wet. However, the duration of the collar’s efficacy can shorten when exposed to extensive shampooing and intense water exposure. If your dog regularly swims or has baths it may be necessary to replace the collar sooner to ensure continued efficacy of the collar.
