Product Description

Grow and forage for Native British edibles from your very own doorstep!

The Urban Forager is the easy to grow mix of native leafy veg plants. This mix is made up of Chicory, Salad Burnet, Fennel, Mallow, Garlic Mustard and Sheep's Sorrel. This leafy vegetable plant is the perfect way to add interest to your plate.

Sow in the garden or a container and you'll be picking your own Native British Leaves before you know it. Grow all year round from your very own beds and borders, patio pots or balcony. Harvest late June-September. Height 31-40cm (12-16"); spread 21-30cm (8-12").

Growing Information:

Sow seeds thinly in lines or patches in the garden and lightly cover with 1cm (½") soil. Germination up to 21 days. Keep plants moist and begin to cut a few leaves when plants have 5-6 true leaves. Treat as 'cut and come again', only taking as many leaves as you need at a time. Alternatively, seeds can be sown in trays/containers of good quality compost in a cold frame or greenhouse and planted out after the last frost either in the garden or into patio containers. May also be grown for baby leaves inside on a windowsill throughout most of the year.
