YuMOVE: Nourish their skin from within

As summer approaches, you may notice that your dog starts scratching more. So, we're here to tell you about the common causes and signs of itching, and how you can support your dog.

Reasons your dog might feel itchy

• Fleas, ticks or mites
• Environmental allergies and sensitive skin
• Dietary sensitivities and allergies

Even the cleanest dogs can pick up fleas and ticks, and as it gets warmer, we often venture out for more walks in nature. To help your dog, make sure you keep up with their flea and tick treatments and keep track of when to apply them.

Environmental factors are one of the most common causes of sensitive skin for dogs as they can react to things such as pollen, plants, grass and cleaning products.

Diet can also play a part. Dogs with sensitive digestion can have itchy skin, a dull coat and nibble at their paws. Keep an eye on ingredients in their food and treats such as grain, soy, colourings and milk which can cause sensitivities.
